Little Jimmy

Likes to shimmy

Can’t sit still

Wants a thrill

Up and down

There he goes

Left and right

Anxious, I suppose

Little Jimmy

Comes to see me

Asks so plainly,

“Did someone punch you in the throat?”

Oh Jimmy

Please forgive me

I don’t understand what you’re asking of me

“It’s just that, you have this HUGE lump on your throat?”

Oh how silly

Could it be

That what he sees

Is my Adam’s apple?

I give the side eye

Look left and right

And I reply

By moving my Adam’s apple up and down, like a frog

Oh how he giggles

Sits there and wriggles

As if tickled

The joy

The laughs

He’s truly having a blast

“You HAVE to show the whole class!”
